Another year, another clutch of Easter eggs I made my family decorate. This year, we were with 7 and managed to paint 20 eggs. The variation was endless. I chose to do a dinosaur egg I saw on a facebook page, a bunny and a rainbow egg.
The dinosaur had little green post-it scales. The bunny had green post-it ears and the rainbow egg started out as a square at the start and I kept painting a line around the square in complementary colours. I was really surprised that the back actually got rounder shapes on it. For some reason I did not expect that.
The other members of the family chose to do things like stick a bunch of chick figures on their egg, paint a chicken scene, create a bee, triple dip in base colour, green splotches, happy face, and a camouflage egg.
The next day, we went to search for our painted eggs and some chocolate ones. The last real egg to be found was the camouflage egg… Who would have thought that would actually work?! We also managed to find a chocolate egg from last year that was half devoured/melted. This year we also lost one, so who knows what will happen in 2020…
